HOW DO YOU HELP PEOPLE REALIZE THE POTENTIAL WITHIN THEM?

Are you a leader, a coach or you have people under you, you need to develop? I want to share with you the Eight steps to adopt in developing those around you. No matter how good you are as a leader, a coach or a teacher in any area of life, if you can’t help people realize their potentials and talents, you’ve lived unsuccessful life. That’s a big disappointment to opportunity God has given you . That wouldn’t be a story about you. For this reason, I want to share with you these practical steps to help you in developing others.

*The first thing to do is to identify d talents in them: my secondary teacher, Miss Caro was d one who discovered my public speaking potential & encouraged me to join drama & debate club which was d foundation to my personal development. In fact, I owe her much gratitude. So many people are like myself who don’t know d potential they have, but need someone to discover them. It’s Ur job as a leader, coach or teacher to discover d talents in Ur people.
*Identify their strength zone & show it to them: Everyone has a peculiar area lies his/her strength. It’s Ur job as a coach or a leader to place Ur people at their strength zone. Everyone has an area where his or her talent can adequately be maximized & explored.
*Share with them d stories of those who are successful because they committed to developing their potential. Successful stories give people confidence, inspiration & motivation.
*Find Evidence that they want to grow: Not everyone no matter d amount of motivation U give them would want to grow. Identify those who want to grow & invest in them.
*Believe in them & help them believe in themselves. Increase their confidence through encouragements. Encouragement is an oxygen to d soul of a learner.
*Coach them to improvement: Regularly give them directives on how they can grow & support them. Let them share their experiences while U offer them guides.
*Give them a place & opportunity to practice: No matter how long U teach & mentor people, if U don’t give them a platform to practice, they won’t grow. Knowledge comes from learning, but growth occurs by practicing.
*Continue to increase their responsibility: Responsibility comes with challenges & challenges make a man go deep in thinking & reasoning & that reveals a better part of d person.
